Lizards at Loggerheads Nature Reserve, 15th May 2016

On Sunday, we went in search of a grizzled skipper, a type of butterfly. Although the weather was perfect for butterfly spotting we didn’t have much luck finding this butterfly which we had never seen before.

However, John did spot a lizard in the undergrowth, which for me is just as exciting! These little lizards move very quickly. John attempted to catch this little scaly critter but managed to get a thorn stuck in his thumb instead. ouch! Luckily, I managed to quickly, yet gently grab this little lizard and he sat quite happily in my hand.
