Drinker Caterpillar

Name: Drinker Caterpillar

Date: 1st April 2017

Time: 3.30pm

Place: Moore Nature Park

Weather: Sunny

I don’t know how, but I managed to spot this beautiful caterpillar sitting on a leaf at Moore Nature Reserve. I managed to get a photo of it using the camera on my phone and identified it as a drinker caterpillar. This caterpillar drinks more frequently than any other species and can be seen drinking water from drops of water on leaves. The final stage of its life cycle will transform this caterpillar into a large moth.
